In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Palo Alto Vikings volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish.

The Vikings (25-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Gunn (Palo Alto, CA). The Titans come into the Santa Clara Valley - De Anza challenge with a 5-19 record. In their last challenge, Gunn lost by Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Fightin' Irish meet the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders (San Francisco, CA) in a West Catholic challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record.
