In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Staunton Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Southwestern Piasa Birds.
The Bulldogs (19-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 19-4 record. In their last challenge, Carlinville beat North Mac (Virden, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Piasa Birds play the Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 14. Southwestern will attempt to upgrade on its 10-16 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 19-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Griggsville-Perry (Griggsville, IL).
