New York High School Volleyball - Coxsackie-Athens Mekeel Christian Academy

Mekeel Christian Academy Lions (Schenectady, NY) backers were pleased Sunday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks (Coxsackie, NY), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions (18-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 11-4 record. In their last challenge, Mohonasen beat Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Riverhawks play the Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks (Fonda, NY) in a non-league outing, on Sunday, October 12. Coxsackie-Athens will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Valley Hawks come into the outing with a 13-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Canajoharie/Fort Plain (Canajoharie, NY).
