The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Cottonwood Bears (Cottonwood, AL) and the visiting Zion Chapel Rebels (Jack, AL), observed Cottonwood's football squad bounce Zion Chapel by a tally of 33-0.

The Bears now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Geneva County for a 2A Region 2 contest on Friday, October 21. Cottonwood will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 52-19 league win over Samson (Samson, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-5.

Coming up next, the Rebels play the Abbeville Yellowjackets (Abbeville, AL) in a 2A Region 2 contest, on Friday, October 21. Zion Chapel will attempt to advance on its 2-7 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a 3-6 record after their 35-15 league loss to Long (Skipperville, AL).
