In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Lake Norman Wildcats soccer squad scored a close 6-1 triumph over the West Cabarrus Wolverines.
The Wildcats (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Ragin' Bulls come into the non-league battle with a 14-0 record.
The Wolverines (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC). The Wonders come into the non-league battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, A.L. Brown was overwhelmed by Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
