The Coventry Oakers held off the visiting Classical Purples volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Oakers now have a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount St. Charles Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 18. Coventry will confront a Mounties team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Mounties record now stands at 4-8.
The Purples (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Cranston East (Cranston, RI). The Thunderbolts enter the non-league test with a 1-10 record. In their last test, Cranston East was nudged by East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI), 2-0, in a non-league test.
