The Belen Eagles smashed the visiting Grants Pirates soccer squad by a margin of 5-1 in Thursday's league match.

The Eagles now sport a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Valencia for a 4A District 5 match on Tuesday, October 18. Belen will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-13.
