The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) and the visiting Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL), saw Jacobs's volleyball squad nip Cary-Grove by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Jacobs upgrades its record to 10-15 on the year. The Golden Eagles travel to Palatine (Palatine, IL) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Friday, October 14. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 12-15. Palatine lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL)

The Trojans now own a 13-18 record. They play next when they host Central for a Fox Valley bout on Tuesday, October 18. Cary-Grove will play a Rockets squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Harlem (Machesney Park, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 15-17.
