Next up, the Wildcats battle the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, October 18. Draughn will attempt to better on its 12-9 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 12-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Madison (Marshall, NC).

With the loss, Hibriten moves to 11-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to battle the Spartans in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest on Monday, October 17. The Spartans go into the contest with a record of 10-10. South Caldwell lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)
