The Bulldogs (20-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Hiltoppers enter the non-league challenge with a 13-11 record. In their last challenge, Hillsboro defeated Gillespie (Gillespie, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Flaming Hearts encounter the Edwards County Lions (Albion, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 15. Effingham will attempt to move on its 8-19 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 19-10 record after their 2-0 league win over Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL).
