The Magdalena Steers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Quemado Eagles to 2 in the Steers league victory on Thursday.
The Steers now have a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reserve for a 1A District 2 game on Friday, October 14. Magdalena will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Animas (Animas, NM). The Mountaineers record now stands at 7-8.
The Eagles (12-4) will now prepare for their game against Animas (Animas, NM). The Panthers enter the 1A District 2 game with a 13-2 record. In their last game, Animas held off Reserve (Reserve, NM), 3-0, in a league game.
