New York High School Football - West Islip can't get by Half Hollow Hills East

Half Hollow Hills East Thunderbirds (Dix Hills, NY) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the host West Islip Lions (West Islip, NY), 44-43 in a league test.

With the win, Half Hollow Hills East improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Huntington (Huntington, NY) to confront the Blue Devils in a Section 11 Division II test on Saturday, October 21. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 1-6. Huntington won 25-22 in their recent league test against Deer Park (Deer Park, NY)

With the loss, West Islip moves to 5-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Newfield (Selden, NY) to confront the Wolverines in a Section 11 Division II test on Friday, October 20. The Wolverines go into the test with a record of 1-5. Newfield lost 47-14 in their recent league test against West Babylon (West Babylon, NY)
