In Friday's league battle, the host Academy of Our Lady Penguins volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy Bulldogs.

The Penguins (20-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cabrini (New Orleans, LA). The Crescents come into the non-league battle with a 15-19 record. In their last battle, Cabrini achieved victory over Academy of the Sacred Heart (Grand Coteau, LA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA) in a Division II District 7 battle, on Tuesday, October 17. New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy will attempt to advance on its 6-12 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 12-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Booker T. Washington (New Orleans, LA).
