Texas High School Volleyball - Shepherd overwhelmed by New Waverly

In Friday's league battle, the visiting New Waverly Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Shepherd Pirates.
The Bulldogs (12-12) will now prepare for their battle against Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX). The Trojans come into the 3A Region III District 23 battle with a 16-9 record. In their last battle, Coldspring-Oakhurst achieved victory over Onalaska (Onalaska, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Pirates clash with the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 battle, on Tuesday, October 17. Shepherd will attempt to advance on its 1-15 season record. The Fighting Owls come into the battle with a 28-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Tarkington (Cleveland, TX).
