In their next game, the Matadors play the Montebello Oilers (Montebello, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, October 15. San Gabriel will attempt to improve on its 5-18 season record. The Oilers go into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 32-0 league loss to Schurr (Montebello, CA).

The Moors (6-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Mark Keppel (Alhambra, CA). The Aztecs go into the challenge with a 3-18 record. In their last challenge, Mark Keppel toppled Bell Gardens (Bell Gardens, CA), 20-6, in a league challenge.
