West Virginia High School Soccer - James Monroe knocks off Cross Lanes Christian

In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting James Monroe Mavericks soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 win over the Cross Lanes Christian Warriors.
The Mavericks (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Sherman (Seth, WV). The Tide come into the Coalfield AA test with a 0-15 record. In their last test, Sherman by Magnolia (New Martinsville, WV), 10-0, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now sport a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host St. Joseph Central for a Freelance test on Tuesday, October 14. Cross Lanes Christian will confront a Irish squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Grace Christian (Huntington, WV). The Irish record now stands at 13-5.
