The Sheldon Irish edged the visiting South Eugene Axe soccer team by a tally of 2-1 in Monday's league game.
Next, the Irish face the Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR) in a 6A Southwest game, on Wednesday, October 15. Sheldon will attempt to advance on its 9-1 season record. The Wolverines enter the game with a 4-6 record after their 3-2 league win over South Medford (Medford, OR).
The Axe (7-2) will now prepare for their bout against North Eugene (Eugene, OR). The Highlanders go into the non-league bout with a 10-0 record.
