In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting St. Stephens Indians soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Alexander Central Cougars.
The Indians (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league outing with a 8-5 record. In their last outing, Freedom got by Watauga (Boone, NC), 2-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Cougars confront the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) in a outing, on Wednesday, October 15. Alexander Central will attempt to advance on its 0-14 season record. The Titans come into the test with a 3-4 record after their 3-1 non-league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).
