The South Caldwell Spartans edged the host McDowell Titans soccer team by a tally of 1-0 in Monday's league game.
Next, the Spartans face the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a Northwestern 6A/7A game, on Wednesday, October 15. South Caldwell will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Pioneers enter the game with a 11-3 record after their 8-0 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
The Titans (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars enter the Northwestern 6A/7A game with a 11-4 record. In their last game, Alexander Central held off St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 9-0, in a league game.
