Kentucky High School Volleyball - Metcalfe County over Caverna

Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) and the host Caverna Colonels (Horse Cave, KY), observed Metcalfe County's volleyball team top Caverna by a count of 2-0.

The Hornets (20-10) will now prepare for their contest against Nelson County (Bardstown, KY). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 5-22 record. In their last contest, Nelson County dropped by Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Colonels now own a 2-27 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Russellville for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 14. Caverna will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Barren County (Glasgow, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 0-19.
