In Monday's league match, the Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT) volleyball squad knocked off the host St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT), by a margin of 3-0.

The Hornets now possess a 13-0 record. They play next when they host Mt. Mansfield for a Division 1 bout on Wednesday, October 15. Essex will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 3-1 league win over Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT). The Cougars record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, St. Johnsbury Academy drops to 3-10 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to South Burlington (South Burlington, VT) to clash with the Wolves in a Division 1 bout on Wednesday, October 15. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 2-10.
