In Friday's league game, the Sussex Central Golden Knights (Georgetown, DE) football team knocked off the visiting Dover Senators (Dover, DE), by a final score of 21-0.
The Golden Knights (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE). The Vikings come into the 3A District 2 game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Cape Henlopen toppled Caesar Rodney (Camden, DE), 41-13, in a non-league game.
The Senators now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Smyrna for a 3A District 2 game on Friday, October 21. Dover will battle a Eagles team coming off a 42-20 non-league win over Mergenthaler Vo-Tech (Baltimore, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 5-1.
