    The Melrose Buffaloes football squad scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Logan Longhorns to 6 in the Buffaloes league victory on Friday.

    The Buffaloes now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Sumner/House for a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) contest on Friday, October 21. Melrose will play a squad coming off a 58-6 non-league win over Dulce (Dulce, NM). The record now stands at 7-0.

    Coming up next, the Longhorns play the Tatum Coyotes (Tatum, NM) in a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) contest, on Friday, October 21. Logan will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Coyotes go into the contest with a 4-4 record after their 42-6 league win over Clayton (Clayton, NM).
