The Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) football overcame the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), 28-20 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Pioneers face the Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) in a 1A Northwest bout, on Friday, October 28. Nooksack Valley will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record.
The Mountaineers (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Trojans enter the 1A Northwest game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Meridian was dropped by Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA), 51-0, in a league game.
