The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 12-26. Coronado lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Cooper (Lubbock, TX)

The Westerners now own a 5-29 record. They play next when they host Wylie for a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, October 18. Lubbock will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 21-17.
