In Friday's league battle, the visiting Chester Yellowjackets volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the High Island Cardinals.
The Yellowjackets (28-10) will now prepare for their battle against Spurger (Spurger, TX). The Pirates come into the 1A Region IV District 26 battle with a 10-15 record. In their last battle, Spurger achieved victory over Leggett (Leggett, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Cardinals clash with the Goodrich Hornets (Goodrich, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 26 battle, on Tuesday, October 18. High Island will attempt to advance on its 6-17 season record. The Hornets come into the battle with a 1-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Spurger (Spurger, TX).
