The La Vega Pirates volleyball team (Waco, TX), was dropped 3-0 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Robinson Rockets (Robinson, TX)

The Rockets (18-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Salado (Salado, TX). The Eagles enter the 4A Region III District 23 challenge with a 27-14 record. In their last challenge, Salado defeated Connally (Waco, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX) in a 4A Region III District 23 challenge, on Tuesday, October 18. La Vega will attempt to move on its 2-23 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 20-16 record after their 3-2 league win over Gatesville (Gatesville, TX).
