In Friday's league battle, the host Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots.

The Conquerors (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson Christian Academy (Ripplemead, VA). The Cardinals come into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Jefferson Christian Academy achieved victory over Roanoke Valley Christian (Roanoke, VA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Chatham Hall Turtles (Chatham, VA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 17. Lynchburg HomeSchool will attempt to advance on its 6-12 season record. The Turtles come into the battle with a 1-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Covenant (Charlottesville, VA).
