Texas High School Volleyball - Shepherd tips New Waverly

In Friday's league contest, the Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX) volleyball squad edged the host New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Pirates battle the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 contest, on Tuesday, October 18. Shepherd will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Fighting Owls come into the contest with a 24-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Trinity (Trinity, TX).

With the loss, New Waverly drops to 9-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX) to battle the Trojans in a 3A Region III District 23 contest on Tuesday, October 18. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 3-16.
