In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Sturgis East Storm volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Sandwich Blue Knights.
The Storm (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Rising Tide (Plymouth, MA). The come into the Cape and Islands battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Rising Tide went down by Nantucket (Nantucket, MA), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Blue Knights encounter the Barnstable Red Hawks (Hyannis, MA) in a Cape and Islands battle, on Monday, October 17. Sandwich will attempt to move on its 9-5 season record. The Red Hawks come into the battle with a 11-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Bishop Feehan (Attleboro, MA).
