The Oakland Mills Scorpions held off the visiting Atholton Raiders football team by a count of 27-20 in Saturday's league outing.

With the win, Oakland Mills upgrades its record to 1-6 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD) to confront the Wildecats in a Howard County outing on Thursday, October 19. The Wildecats go into the outing with a record of 5-3. Wilde Lake won 6-0 in their recent league outing against Reservoir (Fulton, MD)

With the loss, Atholton moves to 4-3 on the season. The Raiders host Hammond (Columbia, MD) to confront the Golden Bears in a Howard County outing on Thursday, October 19. The Golden Bears go into the outing with a record of 0-8. Hammond lost 27-0 in their recent league outing against Long Reach (Columbia, MD)
