In Saturday's league battle, the host Sheldon Irish soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Grants Pass Cavemen.
The Irish (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against South Eugene (Eugene, OR). The Axe go into the 6A Southwest battle with a 3-6 record.
The Cavemen (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Roseburg (Roseburg, OR). The Indians go into the 6A Southwest battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Roseburg was nudged by South Eugene (Eugene, OR), 2-0, in a league battle.
