In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Highland Park Scots.
The Zephyrs (13-13) will now prepare for their battle against South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN). The Packers come into the Metro East battle with a 14-16 record. In their last battle, South St. Paul lost by Two Rivers (Mendota Heights, MN), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Scots clash with the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (St. Cloud, MN) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 14. Highland Park will attempt to advance on its 6-8 season record. The Crusaders come into the battle with a 12-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Mora (Mora, MN).
