In Saturday's non-league contest, the Maize South Mavericks (Wichita, KS) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Lawrence Lions (Lawrence, KS), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Mavericks battle the Maize Eagles (Maize, KS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 14. Maize South will attempt to better on its 33-3 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 15-13 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Derby (Derby, KS).
