The Springer Red Devils (Springer, NM) volleyball were winner over the visiting Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM), 3-0 in Saturday's league outing.
With the win, Springer betters its record to 12-1 on the year. The Red Devils travel to Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM) to face the Trojans in a 1A District 5 outing on Wednesday, October 18. The Trojans go into the outing with a record of 2-11. Wagon Mound lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Cimarron (Cimarron, NM)
The Bears now sport a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Roy/Mosquero for a 1A District 5 outing on Thursday, October 19. Maxwell will face a Longhorn squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Des Moines (Des Moines, NM). The Longhorn record now stands at 15-2.
