Texas High School Volleyball - Mercedes over Weslaco East

In Saturday's league contest, the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Weslaco East Wildcats (Weslaco, TX), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 contest, on Tuesday, October 17. Mercedes will attempt to better on its 18-12 season record. The Chargers come into the contest with a 25-19 record after their 3-0 league win over Donna North (Donna, TX).

With the loss, Weslaco East drops to 11-15 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Pace (Brownsville, TX) to battle the Vikings in a 5A Region IV District 32 contest on Tuesday, October 17. The Vikings come into the contest with a record of 29-3. Pace won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Donna (Donna, TX)
