In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Compton Early College Rising Phoenix flag football squad scored a close 7-6 triumph over the Centennial Apaches.

The Rising Phoenix (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Tustin (Tustin, CA). The Tillers come into the non-league match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, Tustin was nudged by Valencia (Placentia, CA), 21-14, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Apaches confront the Hawthorne Cougars (Hawthorne, CA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, October 15. Centennial will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
