In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Gate City Blue Devils volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Eastside Spartans.
The Blue Devils (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Generals come into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Lee lost by Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans play the Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. Eastside will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record.
