In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Giles Spartans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Radford Bobcats.

The Spartans (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers come into the non-league challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Fort Chiswell was nudged by George Wythe (Wytheville, VA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats play the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. Radford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Carroll County (Hillsville, VA).
