The Carver Yellowjackets soccer squad scored 10 points and held the visiting Phoenix Academy Firebirds to 1 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Monday.

The Yellowjackets now hold a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bethany for a Northwest Piedmont 1A bout on Tuesday, October 15. Carver will play a Wolves squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Phoenix Academy moves to 5-4 on the year. The Firebirds host Clover Garden School (Burlington, NC) to play the Grizzlies in a non-league bout on Friday, October 18. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Clover Garden School won 8-0 in their recent league bout against Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC)
