Fans at Monday's league battle between the Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) and the visiting Wake Prep Academy Guardians (Wake Forest, NC), saw Falls Lake's soccer squad hold off Wake Prep Academy by a score of 4-3.

The Firebirds (7-8) will now prepare for their battle against Louisburg (Louisburg, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league battle with a 6-11 record. In their last battle, Louisburg was edged by Southern School of Energy and Sustainability (Durham, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Guardians confront the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns (Durham, NC) in a Super Six 1A/2A battle, on Wednesday, October 16. Wake Prep Academy will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Unicorns enter the battle with a 7-4 record after their 1-0 league win over Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC).
