The Franklin Panthers held off the visiting Tuscola Mountaineers soccer team by a tally of 2-1 in Monday's league game.
Next, the Panthers face the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) in a Mountain Seven 3A game, on Wednesday, October 16. Franklin will attempt to advance on its 6-9 season record. The Bears come into the game with a 7-6 record after their 2-0 league win over East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC).
The Mountaineers (7-5) will now prepare for their game against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights come into the Mountain Seven 3A game with a 2-8 record. In their last game, North Henderson was nipped by Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC), 3-1, in a league game.
