In Monday's league outing, the host West Charlotte Lions soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the West Mecklenburg Hawks.

The Lions (2-15) will now prepare for their outing against Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Titans go into the Queen City 3A/4A outing with a 14-1 record. In their last outing, Hopewell got by Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC), 1-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Hawks play the Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) in a Queen City 3A/4A outing, on Wednesday, October 16. West Mecklenburg will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Huskies go into the outing with a 9-7 record after their 4-0 league win over Chambers (Charlotte, NC).
