In Monday's league match, the visiting Kearney Bulldogs softball team scored a tight 1-0 win over the Liberty North Eagles.

The Bulldogs (25-5) will now prepare for their match against Raytown (Raytown, MO). The Bluejays come into the Class 4 District 5 match with a 3-13 record. In their last match, Raytown was nipped by Winnetonka (Kansas City, MO), 9-3, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, October 15. Liberty North will attempt to better on its 19-6 season record. The Pirates come into the match with a 17-6 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Kearney (Kearney, MO).
