Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Courtland Cougars (Spotsylvania, VA) and the visiting Massaponax Panthers (Spotsylvania, VA), observed Courtland's volleyball team top Massaponax by a count of 3-0.

The Cougars (15-2) will now prepare for their contest against James Monroe (Fredericksburg, VA). The Yellow Jackets enter the Battlefield contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, James Monroe notched a victory over Culpeper County (Culpeper, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Panthers battle the Stafford Indians (Falmouth, VA) in a Commonwealth contest, on Tuesday, October 15. Massaponax will attempt to move on its 16-7 season record. The Indians enter the contest with a 4-7 record after their 3-1 league loss to Riverbend (Fredericksburg, VA).
