Fans at Monday's league contest between the Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI) and the visiting Pinconning Spartans (Pinconning, MI), observed Standish-Sterling's volleyball team top Pinconning by a tally of 3-1.

The Panthers (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against St. Louis (St. Louis, MI). The Sharks enter the Jack Pine contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, St. Louis was beaten by Bullock Creek (Midland, MI), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Spartans meet the Gladwin Flying G's (Gladwin, MI) in a Jack Pine contest, on Wednesday, October 16. Pinconning will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Flying G's enter the contest with a 15-14 record after their 3-0 league win over Meridian (Sanford, MI).
