The Westfield Blue Devils edged the visiting Union Catholic Vikings volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Monday's league game.
Next up, the Blue Devils face the Plainfield Cardinals (Plainfield, NJ) in a non-league game, on Thursday, October 17. Westfield will attempt to advance on its 11-7 season record. The Cardinals go into the game with a 7-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over South Plainfield (South Plainfield, NJ).
The Vikings (18-2) will now prepare for their game against Rahway (Rahway, NJ). The Indians go into the non-league game with a 4-15 record. In their last game, Rahway nudged St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league game.
