In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Cumberland Dukes volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Nottoway Cougars.

The Dukes (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Chargers go into the non-league test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Lunenburg Central tipped Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Prince Edward County for a non-league test on Thursday, October 16. Nottoway will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-9.
