Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) and the visiting Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA), observed William Byrd's volleyball team top Fleming by a tally of 2-0.

The Terriers (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Lord Botetourt achieved victory over Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 2-1, in a non-league test.

The Colonels now own a 1-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northside for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 16. Fleming will meet a Vikings team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 9-7.
