In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the South Burlington Wolves.

The Hilltoppers (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Essex (Essex Junction, VT). The Hornets enter the Metro outing with a 10-3 record. In their last outing, Essex tipped Colchester (Colchester, VT), 8-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Wolves confront the Brattleboro Bears (Brattleboro, VT) in a non-league outing, on Friday, October 17. South Burlington will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Bears enter the outing with a 6-7 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Springfield (Springfield, VT).
